MARQUEE VILLAGE

The Canon Gold Cup racemeeting has become a golden occasion for charities and service organisations in and around Durban with Gold Circle’s biggest annual fundraiser drive taking place at Greyville Racecourse alongside this spectacular event.

The country’s premier race for stayers, the R1 million, Grade 1, Canon Gold Cup "Super Saturday" affords charities and fundraising organisations the opportunity to host special function venues at the course to raise much needed funds.

Gold Circle supplies free marquees, tables and chairs and each individual organisation is invited to sell tickets to their marquee at a price based on the fare they will be offering in their marquee. "Some marquees are very posh, while some offer a more casual package to racegoers," said Ken Tweddell, Gold Circle's Event Marketing Manager."

The date is Saturday, 30 July and details of the hospitality packages, as well as bookings, can be made by contacting the various participating organisations.

A variety of hospitality packages at varying prices are available from the following fundraisers.

Winning Post Sites

• Each site takes 20 people. Situated between the infield road and the track, in the area of the finish line
• An executive area on 3m x 6m sites, with 3m x 3m covered by a shared marquee
• Each site comes with 2 trestle Tables, 20 chairs, a TV set and a 1 x 15amp plug point for the television
• No cars will be allowed in the area. Parking available on the golf course at R20.
• 20 entrance tickets included in the package

Cost per site: R2, 600. 00 (incl. VAT)

Grandstand Sites – Gold Ring Lawn
• A fun area near a tote on 3m x 10m sites
• Each site come with 1 trestle table and 8 chairs
• No TV sets, TV Cables or power available
• Parking at R20 per car is available on the golf course
• Entrance tickets not included in this package. Entrance Tickets are R30.00 each.

DON’T LOSE YOUR COOL – BUT DON’T BRING IT EITHER!!
No cooler boxes or cooler bags will be allowed in any of the general public areas at the Canon Gold Cup Super Saturday meeting at Greyville on Saturday 30 July. The only area where they will be allowed will be in the official picnic site area.

Bags or boxes found in any other area except the picnic sites will be confiscated.

So remember, if you bring it you will lose it!
