Kathrin Kidger, Shop 103 La Lucia Mall
What is the highlight / biggest achievements of your career? Opening my
shop has been a huge highlight but winning Smirnoff Red Fashion awards still
remains my biggest achievements to date.
Are you working on any exciting projects in 2011, if so what? Yes ,we are
looking to sell online so clients outside of Kwa-zulu Natal can purchase our
garments.
What are your favourite fabrics to work with? Powermesh, chiffon and satins
still remain a passion of mine
In your opinion, what makes a person stylish or fashionable? A sense of
self worth
‘If I wasn’t a designer, I would be ... lost.
‘When I’m not working, I ... am a very busy mother of one and wife .
What do you hate most about being a designer: The assumption that
clothing has the ability to physically transform you into a celebrity.
Who is your role model and why? My Mother , her passion for life is
inspiring.
